Boxers to Aim High This week

Queensland Boxing Champions Leah Pilon and Cori Byrnes are Representing the Queensland this week at the Australian Championships in Perth. Both Girls are in tough fights and we will be cheering for them from Brisbane.

Shara Romer is back in Camp with the National team at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.The Team are in heavy competition sparring with visiting Nations India and Northern Ireland to name a few.

Michael Black and Louis D’Anglebermes are to make their professional boxing debuts this Saturday evening at the Fortitude stadium from 7pm. Both boys had good amateur careers and were chosen to box in the first ever televised boxing series on ESPN for Elite Amateur boxers in 2017.

Brad and Abde will also box on the undercard this weekend at Fortitude ,so we have 4 boxers representing the club at the venue.

Former Brisbane Broncos and Australian reps Justin Hodges and Lote Tuqiri can be seen around the gym quite often.Hodges has trained with Gareth for a good 5 years now and Tuqiri has also joined the pair on regular Occassions. Another Bronco who has been seen at the boxing shop ,Anthony Milford had a great games last week,lets hope the boys can keep the form of round 2 going (not round 1 ).
