Our Amateur Team were Representing in New Caledonia from July 18-21st where we took a team of 8 Boxers,1 coach,1 manager and a Referee.
The Team taken was a joint venture between The Boxing Shop and Stretton Boxing club and over the 2 day tournament we came away with 10 wins and 6 losses against their National team.
The boxers who were Taken were Mitchell Coomer,Jack Bowen,Flin Brunton,Malcolm Anderson,Vylita Makate,Dave Touma,Jeff Horne and Joseph Goodall (Horne and Goodall are from our neighboring Boxing Club Stretton).
Shara Romer was selected as the coach to take the team away and she made a huge impact on the New Caledonian National squad.
I suppose its not everyday in the world of boxing that you see a female head coach on an International tour.
The Team Represented both The Boxing Shop and Stretton Boxing club in a professional manner and all athletes and staff were delighted with the trip and the accommodating New Caledonian hospitality.
