6 boxers from The Boxing Shop weighed in today at the National Golden Gloves at Acacia Ridge.
After a long day working out the draw, only 81kg Esala Roquica was called upon to box on day 1.
Esala boxed nicely with slick footwork with lots of feinting before his attacks.
He won the bout comfortably and stuck to the plan throughout.
Tomorrow Esala will box in the semi final of the 81kg category.
Dylan Murphy has trained hard for his Golden Gloves title and tonight we heard some unfortunate news from his Father Colm.
Dylan was in the shower and slipped over and badly cut his back on a broken tile.
Unfortunately the 2014 Golden Gloves is over before it started for Dylan as he is currently recoeving stitches at the Mater Hospital.
Is showering more Dangerous than Boxing….???…..Obviously it is!!
