Irish Paddy Murphy Back with a Blast

Brisbane Boxer “Irish ” Paddy Murphy was back after 9 months out of the ring through injury.
Murphy v Ramirez was a fight that was originally supposed to be Murphy v Charlie Smith until 4 weeks ago when Smith shattered his Jaw in a training accident.

Murphy controlled the first round by using his jab and get his range correct with Ramirez rushing in using spoiling tactics to try and stay on the chest of Paddy.

In the second round, Murphy started using his right uppercut off his jab ,it was landing clean then he changed the attack to start throwing right hooks to the body to keep Ramirez guessing. The Jab is Paddys best weapon and it started opening up Ramirez and when the first knock down came it was 3 hooks in a row that took its toll. The second knock down came seconds later with Murphy stepping up his game and landing heavy hooks with both hands.Ramirez has never been stopped before and we saw why, with his decision to climb from the canvas on two occasions and keep fighting. After the second knock down Ramirez was looking at his corner for advise but it was clear that the end was going to come soon.Ramirez tried hard to hold Murphy over the next 45 seconds but the work from the Irishman was constant and the referee Steve Marshall stepped in to save Ramirez from further punishment.
Murphy moves to 11-0-2 now and is set for a big fight in the coming months.
